A masked robber accosted a quarreling couple walking through a deserted alley.
“Your money or your life,” he said, in a muffled voice.
The man, out of desperation, answered, “Take my wife.”
Whereupon the robber, hard of hearing, shot the man.
Then he abducted the woman.
